We follow strict processes and procedures to deliver excellent customer service to all our clients, thus creating an unforgettable experience for them.
Let’s have a look at our processes through which we have been able to consistently design products for your brand!
How We Consistently Design Products For You!
The process begins with designing the prototype for the product. Here are the steps:
1. Creating The Concept:
The process of designing begins right when we receive a brief from the client, including the budget and expected timelines.
The process differs from client to client according to their brief, budget and timeline. Based on their initial brief, we create a 3D render for them to have a look.
2. Getting The Concept Approved:
Once that is approved by the client, a prototype is created to help the client get the complete look and feel of the final product. Bringing a concept to actual prototype is a difficult task as compared to a 3D rendering of the same concept.
The most challenging part while creating a prototype is explaining the design to the vendor from whom you are getting the product made. However, we adhere to highest quality while doing so and give it our best shot.
3. Putting The Assembly Line Together:
Once the concept is finalized, the assembly line needs to be decided as to what will be needed first on a priority basis.
In this process, factors like the way different materials will be attached together, which adhesive will be used to stick two different types of materials, what fasteners to be used, etc are decided.
4. Getting The Required Materials And Creating Digital Files:
The next step is the hunt for the desired materials. Depending on the availability of various materials, the digital files on various softwares are made as to what manufacturing process that material is going under.
For instance, if the process is laser cutting then the folders like .cdr or .dxf are created; on the other hand, if it's 3D printing then .stl file is required.
All these files are then submitted to the vendor. Constant communication and follow up with the vendors to get the exact product according to client needs is done. This is a complicated step, but it is done with extreme care.
5. Creating The Prototype:
After the pieces are back from processing, cleaning and assembling are done with the help of few hand tools, fasteners and adhesives.
When the prototype is ready and approved, thereafter, minor changes are done in the digital production files. The final production starts after this.
Tools Used Right From Designing To Manufacturing:
We understand the importance of fetching high-quality materials for all our products as the final product is a result of the same. The following materials are used by us:
For Concept Generation:
Pencil, Pen, Sketchbook
For Digital Conceptualization:
2D Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw.
3D Software: Rhinoceros + Grasshopper, Solidworks.
Rendering Software: Keyshot
Medium Density Fibre (MDF), Acrylic, paper.
Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Corian, Glass, Medium Density Fibre (MDF), ABS Sheets
Processes: Laser Cutting, CNC, Engraving, Powder Coating, Polishing, Digital printing, Screen printing, UV printing.
Vernier calliper, Measuring scale, Hand drill machine, Screwdriver, Pliers, Adhesives, Fasteners, etc.
How We Ensure The Quality Is In Line With Engrave Awards And More Standards:
Investing the time in checking the quality of materials while buying them or before giving them for processing which minimizes the possibility of rejections after it is manufactured or delivered to the client.
Keeping separate tools and cleaning kits for various materials to avoid scratches and stains.
Optimum use of all materials is ensured while following different processes. While making the digital files for laser cutting, keeping minimal gaps between two pieces, and trying to fit maximum pieces as possible by arranging it in best optimum orientation.
Investing in good packaging boxes for the product, ones which are sturdy and at the same time aesthetically appealing serving two purposes i.e. safe and damage-free transport. This reduces the time and material consumed in packing and multiple layering of tapes and bubble wraps.
Challenges Faced By Engrave Awards & More During the Process:
As much as we enjoy catering to you with beautiful products for your brand, we do face a set of challenges, which we try to overcome day after day. They are as follows:
1. Clients Unsure Of What They Want:
A lot of clients are rarely clear about what they want and depend on EAM to design the product based on our understanding of the brief. This can often lead to rework since our interpretation might vary from the client’s.
2. Differences In Opinion About Design:
We have been in this business for long and understand the contemporary trends which are neat, minimalistic and subtle. Clients often fail to understand the same and insist on materials and colours that aren’t in tune with the times. It gets challenging to convey and make them understand as to why it would not be such a great idea to go for it.
3. Tighter Timelines:
Sometimes, clients ask to deliver products within unreasonable timelines. It can get pretty challenging to decide on a concept, build a prototype and get it approved and finally manufacture the desired product at such short notices.
Despite the above challenges, we adhere to the best quality for all our clients every single time!
Engrave Awards And More takes a lot of pride in providing your brand with different awards and memorabilia. We are a one-stop shop for all your needs for trophies, mementoes, souvenirs for your employees!
